Caravan, Motorhome, Domestic, Cabin LP Gas Regulator,   Automatic Change Over 2 x Pipes, and Bracket  

Gas Regulator, complete with 2 x 450mm copper pipe's  with male POL (BBQ) fittings.  This unit has an automatic change over from one empty tank to  another full tank.  This avoids interruption in gas flow and eliminates pilot lights going out.  It comes with a mounting bracket and fixing screws. 2 x Copper pig tails are included 450mm long.    

In essence the setup works as follows: With this arrangement, both cylinder valves are to be open for the system to work with all the pigtails connected to the pol cylinder valves 

1. Indicator shows green when lever is pointed to the supply cylinder  
2. When the supply cylinder is emptied, the indicator on the regulator will change to red, indicating that the regulator is now drawing off the reserve cylinder 
3. When this occurs it is essential that the customer switches over the lever on the regulator, to the cylinder containing gas, that the regulator is now drawing off and the indicator should now indicate green and the lever will be pointing to the supply cylinder. Until this is done, the regulator only draws reserve pressure which may not be sufficent to service a instantaneous hot water or high drawing appliance especially on 9 kg cylinders as they only have a small surface area to draw vapour from. Larger cylinders like 45kg are better for the application because they have a larger wetted area to draw from when on the reserve function. 
4. The customer should now be aware that they should replace the empty cylinder with a full one to avoid running out of gas all together 

To summarise, the Indicator on the regulator works fully automatically, however the Lever on the regulator is a manual operation so in essence the setup is semi automatic and must be monitored. It is essential for the customer to monitor the colour of the indicator on the regulator.
